Claimed Price increases

Page 17 of the Oregon Legislative Revenue Office’s report in July 2024 predicts that prices will increase 1.3% cumulatively in five years, or 0.26% per year.

Based on consumer expenditure surveys from
the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, an average household of 2.4 people spent $72,967 in 2022, or about $30,500 per person.

$30,500 consumer spending times a 0.26% price increase comes out to $79.30, which would deduct the net amount of one rebate from about $1,600 to about $1,520.70.
